CHASSIS DYNO
Our chassis dyno has a myriad of data logging input sensors, in addition to our full engine data acquisition capability. We can track, log and graph nearly every critical function of an engine or chassis combination, including real time air/fuel ratio. Our data acquisition system uses a wideband AFR sensor to accurately measure air/fuel ratio and you have the option of having the sample taken with an exhaust probe from the tail pipe or with a sensor bung at the header pipe, whichever you desire. Finally, our weather-sensing module is self-compensating and automatically changes with the environment as it happens so you can be assured of accurate power measurement.

Chris Nott

Chris Nott was born in Leicestershire, England and gained his early training and experience in the highly competitive arena of British Motorsports.
Chris’s inception to motorsports began as an apprentice in historic racing in 1983.
The following year Chris worked with Swallow racing and the first carbon fiber Formula 3 race car which won its inaugural race in the hands of Andy Wallace.
Chris moved to the United States in 1986 with Zackspeed USA.  In 1988 he joined MOMO racing, a Buick / March IMSA GTP entry, which won the 1988 24 hours of Daytona driven by Gianpiero Moretti, Paolo Barilla, and Michael Roe.
The next 10 years were spent in Indy car (Cart & IRL).  Three of those years were with Hemelgarn Racing, who in 1996 fielded a 3 car effort and went on to win the 1996 Indy 500 with Buddy Lazier.
Chris came to Blackforest Motorsports in 2006, and once again joined forces with his father Brian Nott. The duo has had many accomplishments during there careers, several of which are in Grand-Am.
Today with the retirement of his father, Chris continues the day to day operation of TPN/Blackforest Racing with the backing of Tom Nastasi.
“we look forward to the 2011 season, I believe we will come back stronger than ever.”
